Summary: When you go mountain climbing in Asia, someone's probably going to give you a hard time about encountering a Yeti or something. But sometimes, a big ape and avalanches are the least of your problems. There's always a different myth lurking behind the mountain, and it won't be nearly as easy to get away from.

History: One day, a bunch of explorers went to the forbidden mountain of Gangkhar Puensum, Bhutan. They found that the last expedition's goal was to find the mystical utopia of Shangri-La, no matter what the cost. But today, two different forms of opposition are there. One is a bunch of crazy people who thought they could find the mountain's secrets first, and then there is the mountain's guardian. That being a strange insectoid/reptilian monster called the Druk. And worse, there's a whole nest of these beasts within the place...

Notable Kills: A lot of Druk newborns swarm a person, and the main Druk sandwiches a soldier between two crates.

Final Fate: The entire Druk nest is blown up after some of the people die. However, at least one Druk escapes, and raids the bad guys' base. It is then blown up like the rest of its kind.

Powers/Abilities: The blood of a Druk, no matter how old, has regenerative properties.

Weakness: Heavy artillery.

Scariness Factor: 3-The Druk has its creative design as the one thing carrying its painfully fake CGI abdomen. It looks like some kind of demonic black dragon centipede, and for that it's a shame that it and the rest of its kind are wreathed in shadows so often. Even the more realistic-looking babies can be dangerous. Don't try and think about harvesting these monsters for their blood.

Trivia: -The Druk is actually a very important mythological creature in Bhutan, to the point of it being on the place's flag. Its name means "Thunder Dragon", and it was the emblem of the Drukpa lineage from Tibet. They were inspired to make it their symbol after their leader interpreted the loud noises of a powerful storm as the roars of a dragon.

-Gangkhar Puensum is Bhutan's largest mountain, and for years people have been unable to get to its top, making it the largest unclimbed mountain as of now. But based on what we know, the failed attempts didn't end with anyone dying, so it's a little early to be blaming mountain monsters for the setbacks.
